Pilates Explained

Pilates…… you’ve probably heard that it’s a great workout, but you’re unsure about what makes it so beneficial?

Pilates is an exercise program designed to improve posture, core stability, flexibility and muscle tone. Different from other gym workouts; Pilates workouts are incredibly effective to allow your body to activate deeper core/stabilising muscles ~as you work from the deepest layer of abdominals (transverse abdominals) to the surface muscles (rectus abdominals) whilst performing full-range movements. The exercises work to lengthen and elongate muscles, creating a streamlined and optimally functioning body.

The focus of combining ‘mind-to-body connection’ whilst increasing functional strength, suppleness & muscle tone, will allow participants to instantly notice the difference within their body with how it feels, looks & performs. Suitable for all ages & fitness levels, whether you’re an elite athlete or a pure beginner. The Pilates method is a fun and inspiring way to exercise and achieve wellness. You will leave the studio feeling longer, leaner, more balanced and invigorated!
